Pros and cons of ROAD iD app for iPhone and iPad

ROAD iD app good for

I use RoadID every time I run. My husband can keep track of where I am which makes me feel safe (given that I run in some less-than-great neighborhoods). During the RocknRoll half marathon my family was able to follow me in real-time and got great finish line pictures. Great app!
I use this app a lot when Im exploring back country. I dont always end up where I planned when Im mountain biking or motorcycle riding alone so this allows my wife to know where I am in case I have a break down or accident. Very handy app.
This is an excellent simple to use App which does just what it says and no more. I am a fan of Garmin connect and Mapmyride but found both their live tracking flaky. I cycle long rides on my own and want my family to know Im safe. RoadID is simple to use and robust. The only time it fails to send location is if cell phone signal is zero - but that is expected and it does start again. Excellent product.
ROAD iD is a fantastic app. It is a great safety tool, tracking my bike ride each day so that my wife can see my progress in real time via a email linked browser page. If I am delayed she can see where I am and not be worried. If I have a accident she is alerted if I dont call her within six minutes of being stopped. Very highly recommended
This is a great, potentially life-saving, app. Ive had no problems with it so far. Please add Apple Watch 2 support!
I use this app on long runs and love the piece of mind it gives me and my hubby. He can track my progress in real time and alerts him if Ive been stationary to long.

Some bad moments

Works on iPhone5 iOS 7.1 but crashes on iPhone4s on iOS 7.1.2. When will you fix this bug? I rode 60Km this morning and ROAD iD says I road 30metres!
I really wanted to like this app. First time I used it I turned on the breadcrumb, opened my normal running app, and took off. Halfway through I started getting bombarded with texts from my mom who lives across the country because the app stopped tracking me immediately after I opened mapmyrun. Once I left ROAD iD as my last opened app it seemed to be working again. The second time, I opened mapmyrun first, then ROAD iD and started my run. Unfortunately the same thing happened again and my mom was once again concerned that I had been kidnapped on my run. So it looks like Im going to have to delete the app for now or until the tracking glitches are worked out. Would be great if the active tracking worked!
Every single time Ive tried to add an emergency contact, the app has crashed.
A long-time Road-ID user and happy client,I found this app is very disappointing. This app is definitely not ready. Emergency contacts cannot be added let alone saved. For Canadian users, province cannot be saved. So cant save emergency contact, cant save profile - app is useless. I would have preferred to see a lock-screen button that instructed first responders to look for my RoadID serial number and security code than the marginally useful crumb tracking and no-movement advisory. Hope for a useful update/bug-fix as the first version is a waste of memory.
Id love to use this app. It looks like a great way for my family to keep track of me while on long rides. But, I cant create a profile from my phone! I get a message saying"Submit Failure. The account profile was not received by the server".
The lock screen is no longer compatible with ios7. The image is too large and blocked by the time. Waiting for an update to fix this problem.
