Not Ready for Release

A long-time Road-ID user and happy client,I found this app is very disappointing. This app is definitely not ready. Emergency contacts cannot be added let alone saved. For Canadian users, province cannot be saved. So cant save emergency contact, cant save profile - app is useless. I would have preferred to see a lock-screen button that instructed first responders to look for my RoadID serial number and security code than the marginally useful crumb tracking and no-movement advisory. Hope for a useful update/bug-fix as the first version is a waste of memory.

Fantastic addition to my RoadID

This app works great. Allows for persons assigned to be alerted that I am heading out, they see where I am and they are alerted if progress stops (hopeful I dont ever use that feature). This is a must for those long lonely rides. Great added safety in addition to my RoadID bracelet which I also recommend you have on.

Cant create profile

Id love to use this app. It looks like a great way for my family to keep track of me while on long rides. But, I cant create a profile from my phone! I get a message saying"Submit Failure. The account profile was not received by the server".

Perfect!

Just like my Road ID bracelet, gives me and my family piece off mind while on my road rides that take me far from home. Lets my family know when I left, tracks my current route in real time, and sounds an alarm to my family if I am stationary for 5 minutes. Also has lock screen msg. You have done it again Road ID! Its GREAT!

Lock screen

The lock screen is no longer compatible with ios7. The image is too large and blocked by the time. Waiting for an update to fix this problem.

Unstable

Love roadid, but current app is unstable. Worked when I first downloaded, but dropped my last 3 rides. I hope a stability fix comes soon.

Great app

I use this app to track my daughter and for when I go running. Great app. Accurate gps and shows trail/path taken. Just wish you could make the stationary alert shorter. If Im in the woods and my phone is stationary for 5 minutes its probably too late.

Good idea; not dependable

I have only used this app once with half success. My boyfriend is never able to open the text link, so my location during runs is always a mystery. I am able to "start" my run and send the first notification each time, but once Im finished my run and safely back home, the app has dropped my run, refreshes, and I cant send the "activity completed" notification. If I ever get dragged off by wolves, my contacts are just going to assume this app wasnt working again.

Doesnt work

Doesnt work for me either.

Dont run without it!

Very cheap safety measure. Do it.

If you ride or run, you need this app.

It works as advertised. Love it. My wife loves it and we recommend it to everyone who spends time outdoors.

Road ID APP

The ROAD ID APP works very good for its intended purpose. I cycle in northwest Florida where the cell coverage is outstanding so I havent run into any dead spots, yet. I moved from California where cell coverage wasnt always available which caused tracking issues and dead spots. Until this APP works directly with satellites or the cell coverge gets better in low coverage areas loss of tracking will be an issue. I do like the APP though and use it when I hit the road.

Crashing on iPhone 6+.

Crashing on iPhone 6+. Ive contacted Road ID support and they say its a know problem that should be fixed in the next release.

Awesome for letting family know...

Where you are at all times. Loved that it sent text messages to my husband on my long runs. Great app!

Gives us peace of mind!

My brother is a runner and theres always a feeling of uneasiness when he goes running. This app lets us know where he is in case he is taking longer than expected. Thanks RoadId! (He uses your bracelet, too)

Great idea, needs improvement

Ive used this app very regularly on road bike rides for about a year. The problem is inconsistency. Some of the settings change without you knowing, for instance, the emergency alert message. But the biggie is that the emergency alert is not consistent in its delivery. Ive tested it and sometimes the message doesnt get sent. Ill give Road ID the benefit of the doubt, but just barely. What I mean is that I know you cant depend 100% even on regular text messages, but I just think there may be room for improvement in the app. That said, its the only app of its kind, specifically geared to sports activities, that Ive found. Road ID is, I believe, a great company that does a great service. This app is free and thats great. Ill continue to use it, but I sure would like to feel more confident in it.

Almost perfect.... Almost

Love all of the features and benefits of this app, however distance is WAY off!!! I ran a 5k (3.6 miles) and when finished, the corresponding text it sent to my wife said that I had run 8 miles. (WTH). Once they fix this, it will be perfect !

Recipients view

When receiving a link message on an iPhone (versus a PC) tapping on it brings up a map, which is nice EXCEPT its largely obscured by their logo. This makes the map nearly useless to those wishing to follow progress. Too bad because if the title bar was like a splash screen and disappeared after a few seconds (resulting in an unobstructed map view) this would be perfect and rated five stars.

Pathetic!

Asks you to login then tells you "Whoops!! That user already exists". Seriously!! How did this app get approved to be in the app store?

Very Good

Me & my sisters have been using it for about a month. Its got its glitches, but overall we like it. Nice that but we can track each other.
